In addition to the section above, this section is applicable only to those products requiring the verification authorization procedure.

§ 2.954:

This section applies to products subject to both Part 15 and Part 18 of the FCC rules.

However, the identification shall not be of a format which could be confused with the FCC Identifier required on certified, notified or type accepted equipment. The importer or manufacturer shall maintain adequate identification records to facilitate positive identification for each verified device.

In addition to the first section, this section is applicable only to those products requiring the certification authorization procedure.

§ 2.925(a)(1):

FCC Identifier consisting of the two elements in the exact order specified in § 2.926. The FCC Identifier shall be preceded by the term FCC ID in capital letters on a single line, and shall be of a type size large enough to be legible without the aid of magnification.

FCC ID: AAAxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

where: "AAA" is the Grantee Code (assigned by the FCC) and "xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is the product code assigned by the grantee. If a hyphen is used between the Grantee Code and the Product Code, it counts as one of the 14 characters used for the Product Code.

FCC Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for Part 15 Devices

This section is in addition to the first section. This DoC is a different DoC than the one commonly used in conjunction with the CE marking of products for the European Union (EU). It is a simple statement that mentioned model(s) comply with 47 CFR Part 15. The logos associated with this are ONLY to be used for an FCC Declaration of Conformity, and NOT to be used with any other authorization procedure.

§ 15.19(b)(1)(i):

The label shall be located in a conspicuous location on the device and shall contain the unique identification described in § 2.1074 of this chapter and the following logo: (i) If the product is authorized based on testing of the product or system;

FCC Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for Part 18 Devices

This DoC is also a different DoC than the one commonly used in conjunction with the CE marking of products for the European Union (EU). It is a simple statement that mentioned model(s) comply with 47 CFR Part 18. The logos associated with this are ONLY to be used for an FCC Declaration of Conformity, and NOT to be used with any other authorization procedure.

It shall be permanently affixed to the product and shall be readily visible to the purchaser at the time of purchase, as described in § 2.925(d) of this chapter. Permanently affixed means that the label is etched, engraved, stamped, silkscreened, indelibly printed, or otherwise permanently marked on a permanently attached part of the equipment or on a nameplate of metal, plastic, or other material fastened to the equipment by welding, riveting, or a permanent adhesive. The label must be designed to last the expected lifetime of the equipment in the environment in which the equipment may be operated and must not be readily detachable. The logo follows:
